Live blogging -- No. 7 North Carolina at No. 25 Virginia

Halftime: UVa 30, UNC 26

UVa playing incredibly well right now, all with Mike Scott on the bench. It is as if the team as a whole focused better with Scott on the bench, because they knew it wasn't going to be easy with the star of the team not playing. I was hoping we could keep it as just a single-digit deficit going into the locker room with Scott on the bench but the team responded to adversity superbly. Great effort so far. Sammy made a 3 at the halftime buzzer from about 25 feet, hopefully this is the Hoos' day. Sammy definitely feeling it, leads team in scoring with 11 points right now, and has three 3s. The main difference from early in the half to late in the half was Virginia's defensive intensity. UNC did whatever it wanted early, but points have been hard to come by for it lately.
As the second half begins, I'm concerned as usual with Virginia's lack of depth. Fouls already piling up for Virginia: three on Akil Mitchell, and two each on Scott and Darion Atkins.
