UVa sports update

Baseball: The Cavaliers are on their hottest streak of the season, having won eight straight games. They are 32-14-1 and up to No. 21 in the country and second place in the ACC Coastal Division with a 14-10 record. After an exam break, UVa pounded High Point 12-3 on Wednesday and start a three-game series today against Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets are 30-19 and 10-17 in the ACC.
Men's lacrosse: The Cavaliers lost two straight games in April to Duke and UNC before edging Penn April 27. Virginia is the No. 5 seed in the upcoming NCAA tournament and hosts Princeton in the first round Sunday at Klockner Stadium. The women's lacrosse team also starts the NCAA tournament Sunday, and they play at Duke.
Men's tennis: Virginia sets out again Saturday in the NCAA tournament still in search of its first national outdoor team title. The Cavaliers host Fairleigh Dickinson in the first round Sunday in Charlottesville. The women's team also is starting NCAA tournament play. The Cavaliers also play Fairleigh Dickinson and that match is today at 2 p.m.
