NFL picks

Could be tough to get to any analysis of Virginia's 44-38 loss to Louisiana Tech but maybe I will later in the week. For now, let's get some NFL picks out.

Patriots at Bills, 1 p.m. CBS
I could see the Bills playing the Patriots really tough here but I just don't know if they will have enough firepower to overcome Brady and the Patriots. The Bills beat the Patriots last year in Buffalo. Hard to see, however, New England falling to 1-3.
Patriots 28, Bills 27

49ers at Jets, 1 p.m. FOX
The Jets are coming off a narrow overtime win at Miami while the 49ers are coming off a surprising, 24-13 loss at Minnesota. I expect San Francisco to come out with a lot of focus. I don't see New York gettign out to any lead the 49ers wouldn't be able to overcome, something is seen as a problem for them because their offense isn't explosive.
49ers 20, Jets 16

Saints at Packers, 4:25 p.m. FOX
This game last year was a wild opener to the NFL season in Green Bay, one that the Packers won 42-34. I expect a similar effort from Green Bay in this one. It will be eager to get a win after getting one basically stolen from it against Seattle during the Monday Night Football Nightmare last week. The Saints are 0-3, and haven't been able to stop anybody on defense. The Packers are a tough assignment for a struggling 'D.'
Packers 34, Saints 26

Redskins at Buccaneers, 4:25 p.m. FOX
Tampa Bay gave a strong defensive effort last week in losing to Dallas 16-10. The problem was the offense was very poor. Washington has yet to give up less than 30 points in a game but this could its chance. The Bucs have done a good job against the run, but a poor job against the pass, so I think RGIII will have a solid game. I look for this one to be a little bit like the Bucs-Giants game, one Tampa Bay lost 41-34.
Redskins 31, Buccaneers 27

Giants at Eagles, 8:20 p.m. NBC
The Eagles got handed a humbling defeat by the Cardinals last week 27-6. The Giants played last Thursday night at Carolina and buried the Panthers 33-7. This series is usually unpredictable and exciting. The Eagles have won seven of the last eight in the matchup.
Giants 28, Eagles 24

Monday night
Bears at Cowboys, 8:30 p.m.
The Cowboys were carried to a win last week by the defense and the Bears have struggled on offense as well since a 41-point effort in a Week 1 win over the Colts. Neither offensive line has been very effective yet as both Tony Romo and Jay Cutler have ended up on their butts a lot. I expect this one to come down to the end and it could come down to which offense makes fewer mistakes or which defense makes more game-changing plays.
Cowboys 20, Bears 17
