Miami at Virginia, Noon Saturday ABC

No time for college or NFL picks this weekend but I did want to mention Virginia's game against Miami at home. The Cavaliers have a chance to get closer to a miraculous November, something they haven't had in awhile. If they can beat Miami, they will be 4-6 and then be two wins away from evening their record and going to a bowl. Miami is coming off a commanding Thursday night win over a week ago against Virginia Tech so they are rested for this matchup. The Hurricanes have been vulnerable at times this year, however, getting blown out by undefeated teams Kansas State and Notre Dame. But they've bene through the fire and Miami is playing good ball right now and is eyeing a Coastal Division championship. Virginia will need a similar effort to last week's win over N.C. State and maybe will need to play even better. Miami has one of the worst run defenses in the nation so the Cavaliers must take advantage of that. Phillip Sims and Michael Rocco will both be taking snaps once again in a strange system that worked last week. I'm not convinced Virginia can keep up its play of last week, but again, as long as the Wahoos look better than during their losing streak and continue to improve, I'll be happy.
Miami 24, Virginia 17
