Virginia football lands another five-star recruit

On Saturday, the Cavaliers picked up Oscar Smith defensive lineman Andrew Brown (2014 class), a 6-foot-4, 282-pound prospect, over the likes of Clemson, Alabama, Virginia Tech, and Florida State.

Brown is the second five-star prospect to commit to the Wahoos for the 2014 class. Back in February,

According to ESPN, Virginia is the only school to have two commitments from the top 25 recruits in the nation for 2014. And, according to Rivals, this is the first time UVa has landed the top player from three different positions in the same class -- in addition to Quin and Brown, top kicker Gary Wunderlich from Memphis committed to the Wahoos a couple months ago.

It is quite impressive what the coaching staff is doing on the recruiting trail. Hopefully, this success eventually turns into wins. I'm still very skeptical given this season's tough schedule. The coaching staff should be upgraded, but it is brand new, and this dynamite class is still over a year away from making any impact at all (for those that would play as true freshmen). But it looks like the 'Hoos might be on the right path. Certainly, after the way last year ended and some of the goofs coach Mike London made in game management, this rebound has been somewhat surprising and just what the program needed.

  1. In choosing the right gear, there are some steps that you need to follow in order for you to have the perfect fit that would protect you and make you feel comfortable throughout the game. The first thing to consider is the helmet. You have to pick a helmet that is just big enough to fit you comfortably yet a little enough for it to stay put and won't fall.
