NFL predictions -- Part II

Broncos at Cowboys, 4:25 p.m. CBS
Dallas took a 21-10 lead last week over San Diego but the Chargers stormed back and scored the game's final 20 points to win, 30-21. The Cowboys had an interception return for a touchdown by linebacker Sean Lee, meaning Dallas only managed 14 offensive points against the Chargers, a team that ranks in the back quarter of the NFL in pass defense. Against the Giants in Week 1, the Cowboys had two defensive touchdowns and scored 36 points. In Kansas City during Week 2, Dallas scored 16 points. Against the Rams, Dallas had 31 points. Still, the pattern Dallas has settled into is an offense that isn't scoring that much. Today against Denver, I think the Cowboys might get the offense going because the Broncos' pass defense isn't too terribly strong. The problem will be Dallas' defense. The run defense has been great, the pass defense not too much. Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has been spectacular so far this season, recording 16 touchdowns and zero, yes zero, interceptions. I think he will have a great day against Dallas' pass defense.
Broncos 38, Cowboys 24

Texans at 49ers, 8:30 p.m.
The Texans, and quarterback Matt Schaub in particular, are under fire after giving away last week's win over Seattle. Schaub threw an interception to Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman late in the game and he returned it for a touchdown, which tied the contest up. In OT, Seattle got a game-winning field goal. San Francisco is not a great place for Houston to go into if it trying to bounce back from a loss.
49ers 23, Texans 16

Jets at Falcons, 8:30 p.m. Monday night
Atlanta sits at a surprising 1-3 but it has had some tough opponents this year, including the Saints, Dolphins, and Patriots. The Falcons lost all of these games by a touchdown or less. I like Atlanta to finally get back on the winning track against the Jets, who aren't as good as their 2-2 record (tight wins over the Bucs and Bills).
Falcons 31, Jets 20
