A few weeks ago, it was looking like maybe Virginia could have a real shot at snapping its road losing streak at Lousiville. The Cavs have lost 14 straight road games now after their setback at Miami. But the Cardinals have gotten it going since an 0-3 start to the year and now sit on the cusp of bowl eligibility at 5-4. Last week, the Cardinals pasted Syracuse, 41-17, at home. They'll probably use two QBs. The starter, Lamar Jackson (ankle) and backup Reggie Bonnafon (concussion; he was the starter last year when Virginia won in Charlottesville, 23-21) are perhaps both going to be available, but Kyle Bolin will start. Despite being the third-stringer, he was fantastic last week, completing 24 of 35 passes for 362 yards and three TDs. Virginia's defense has been susceptible to the deep pass all year, so this matchup doesn't bode well. The Cardinals' defense has been getting better, too. After a rough start, in their past six games, Louisville is allowing just 14.5 ppg, and most of that average was boosted by Florida State's 41-point outing. The Cards have forced 21 turnovers, too. I think Virginia will give another valiant effort, but fall short on the road again.
