A sad time for Wahoo fans today as Justin Anderson made it official: He is going to enter the NBA draft, coming up in June. During his last season in Charlottesville, he increased his scoring average to 12.2 points and led the team in scoring early in the season. He probably would have averaged around two to three more points had he not broken his finger. He easily had his best 3-point shooting year this season and his athleticism and ability to block and dunk will be missed. He always seemed to be happy just playing the game and pumping up the crowd. I'll write more about his decision soon and how I think it will impact the 2015-16 season.
For now, enjoy this VirginiaSports.com video of some of Anderson's highlights if you haven't already: http://virginiasportstv.com/mensbasketball/1VJe

I really think an extra year of seasoning would do him better given the injury, but best of luck to him in any case. I'll be pulling for him in the NBA.
ReplyDeleteYeah I think he could've too. His 3-point shooting and ball handling could be more consistent. I wish him well though and see why you wouldn't come back too.
