Bill Lazor leaving UVa

Bill Lazor
The craziness around the Virginia football program continues. Today, sources are saying that Bill Lazor, the offensive coordinator, is leaving UVa to take a spot with the Philadelphia Eagles, where former Oregon coach Chip Kelly has taken over as head coach (ironic given that Virginia just put Oregon on the schedule).

It is unclear how this will shake up the offensive staff. Will Tom O'Brien slip in as offensive coordinator? He has the title associate head coach for offense already and he is also the tight ends coach. Or will UVa hire someone from outside the program? It would seem that even if O'Brien takes over, then someone would need to be hired to coach tight ends.

Stay tuned. The whirlwind of a UVa football offseason keeps on going.
