I nearly had a perfect week last week, going 8-1. Only one of the last games of the day, Arizona at UCLA tripped me up, with the Bruins winning instead of the Wildcats. My college picks record on the year is now 53-26.
This is going to be just a true picks post, as I am getting up very early Saturday morning to go fishing with my dad and I need to get to bed. :)
This is a big week for college football, with six games between top 25 squads. The current playoff standings for the first year of the four-team tournament are:
1. Mississippi State
2. Florida State
3. Auburn
4. Oregon
-------
5. Alabama
6. TCU
7. Kansas State
8. Michigan State
9. Arizona State
10. Notre Dame
Only Mississippi State and FSU are undefeated. All of those other teams have one loss, which makes the weekend very crucial.

Crazy to think it was just three years ago that UVa went down to Florida State and knocked off a ranked Seminoles squad in Tallahassee. What's happened since then? That will be a question to answer another time. This year, however, I expect the pain to continue for Cavalier fans. FSU hasn't been awesome this year, but it should be able to pull away from the 'Hoos in the second half. This year now comes down to the question of whether the players are going to fight for their coach's job? Mike London is likely gone if he doesn't win one, maybe two more games. I think the players like him, but they just aren't put in the right positions and coached well enough, in my opinion, to come out on top against good teams.
